Geocaching v nemčine

Naši ôsmaci zažili netradičné vyučovanie nemčiny - vydala sa do mesta na geocaching, kde jednotlivé stanovištia boli spojené nielen s históriou nášho mesta, ale aj s Nemeckom či Rakúskom.  Počas putovania ulicami historického centra s mobilom v ruke ich čakali aj sprievodné úlohy zamerané na precvičovanie nemeckého jazyka - napríklad práca s videom, doplňovačky a opravy textov, diskusie, či hádanky. Žiaci sa napríklad dozvedeli, že nemčina bola v stredovekých Košiciach rečou remeselníkov, obchodníkov ale aj vzdelancov. Tak isto, že prvé košické noviny niesli názov Kaschauer Zeitung, vychádzali 2 až 3 krát týždenne a mali 4 až 12 strán. Prekvapil ich fakt, že spisovateľ a novinár Sándor Márai, ktorý sa narodil v Košiciach, bol pôvodom Nemec a že aj svätá Alžbeta žila väčšinu svojho života v Nemecku, kde sa ako princezná vyznačovala dobročinnosťou a starostlivosťou o chudobných. Po prejdení všetkých piatich stanovíšť čakala deti zaslúžená odmena v podobe kešky. Dvojhodinovú geocachingovú hru pripravila germanistka Michaela Kováčová z Filozofickej fakulty UPJŠ v Košiciach spolu s Martou Lörincovou. „Mojou motiváciou bola snaha priblížiť žiakom a študentom nemčiny, že tento jazyk je zakotvený v priestore, kde žijú a že na nemecké, rakúske a švajčiarske stopy narážajú vlastne každodenne. Sú súčasťou histórie Košíc aj ich prítomnosti - nájdeme ich v kultúre, architektúre, výtvarnom umení, vzdelávaní, v hospodárstve a v iných oblastiach,“ vysvetľuje Kováčová.

Geocoaching in German

Our eighth graders experienced an unconventional German lesson - they went geocaching in the city, where individual stations were connected not only with the history of our city, but also with Germany or Austria.  While wandering through the streets of the historic centre with their mobile phones in hand, they were also given accompanying tasks aimed at practising the German language - for example, working with videos, completing and correcting texts, discussions and puzzles. For example, pupils learned that German was the language of craftsmen, merchants and scholars in medieval Košice. They also learned that the first newspaper in Košice was called Kaschauer Zeitung, published 2 to 3 times a week and had 4 to 12 pages. They were surprised by the fact that the writer and journalist Sándor Márai, who was born in Košice, was originally German and that St Elisabeth also lived most of her life in Germany, where as a princess she was distinguished for her charity and care for the poor. After completing all five stations, the children had a well-deserved reward in the form of a cache. The two-hour geocaching game was prepared by Michaela Kováčová from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Applied Sciences in Košice together with Marta Lörincová. "My motivation was to make pupils and students of German understand that this language is embedded in the space where they live and that they actually encounter German, Austrian and Swiss clues every day. They are part of the history of Košice and its present - they can be found in culture, architecture, art, education, the economy and other areas," explains Kováčová.
